Get To Know Dr. Truman

Dr. Corey Truman is a graduate of the University of Louisville’s School of Dentistry, class of 2015. Out of a passion for clinical excellence, Dr. Truman founded Drakes Creek Dental and is thrilled to be planting roots in Hendersonville.

He is committed to excellence, honesty, and integrity. His goal is to gratefully and responsibly steward his unique skill set, resources, and influence for the good of others. He takes special interest in exploring the links among nutrition, fitness, and oral health and in the importance of promoting dental literacy in the community. He continuously furthers his education and training in order to provide patients with the most up-to-date techniques in dental care. His approach to dental care is simply threefold: equip, conserve, and restore.

Outside of the dental office, you’ll find Dr. Truman with his wife of thirteen years likely buried underneath their four small children, planning some sort of new family adventure. They have a long-term goal of acquiring an adventure van once the kiddos can tolerate road trips. Family, fitness, and time in the outdoors are some of his top priorities. He’s always in the middle of an audiobook or podcast and loves music. He also delights in a good cup of coffee and LOVES tacos. He currently serves as Lieutenant Commander in the US Navy Reserve and is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Truman is honored and ready to serve the Hendersonville community.

What to Expect

You'll be welcomed with a cup of fresh coffee or tea and offered a cozy space to relax as we finalize the details of your appointment. A member of our team will prepare you to meet Dr. Truman and discuss the reasons for your visit. Next, Dr. Truman will conduct your dental exam gently and respectfully, and offer wisdom in educating, course-correcting, and planning to meet your goals.  When you leave our office it’s our mission that you feel inspired, cared for, and at home, knowing that all your dental needs are being taken care of with excellent clinical skill.
